I asked in the WIN 10 forum why I couldn't download the WIN 10 update.  The problem I have found is that the re install from the cd supplied with the computer will not update at all.  Is there a fix for this?

System Update Readiness Tool for Windows 7

This link is for 64 bit:

https://www.microsof...s.aspx?id=20858

This one for 32 bit:

https://www.microsof...ls.aspx?id=3132

Once that runs then get

 KB3083710 and KB3102810

https://support.micr...n-us/kb/3083710

https://support.micr...n-us/kb/3102810

Then try Windows Update again and see if you have better luck.

I finally had some free time to attempt the instructions.  The readiness tool downloaded but for the past thirty minutes I get a "searching" for updates.  I tried to go beyond that by installing one of the KB recommended but if I click on either one   I get the message only one copy copy of WUSA is allowed to run. I e that the readiness tool is still looking for updates.    What can I try next>
