my computer screen was not shutting off even when i set it to do so, and my computer was really slow when trying to do a right click. thanks.

Hi t-man,

I am assuming that you have administrative rights on your PC. If it is not so, do not proceed with the fix and let me know.

Run Hijack This and click scan. The following items need to be fixed -

O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions present
O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel present

Reboot the PC. Post a fresh HJT log and let me know if you have any continuing issues
