Lenovo Computer running Windows 8.1 and Internet Explorer 11.  Will at random stop allowing me to close page and not allow me to move to another site.  To fix I must re-start my computer.  Any suggestion to fix would be appreciated.  I had this problem and thought by installing a now modem would help but even with the new modem this problem continues.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

--Jay

Hello,

Install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware Free and run a virus scan. If there is no virus try to reset Internet Explorer.

Here is an article how to do that.

If that doesn't help try clean boot

Here is article how to do that.

If that doesn't help look on your computer for software that you didn't installed.

Uninstall them with Revo Uninstaller

If that doesn't help reset completly internet settings on your computer.

Here is article how to do that and download the file below its Microsoft fix it tool for reseting TCP/IP.
