I just installed Kaspersky Total Security on both mine and my wife's laptop a few days ago and for the most part it seems to be an excellent antivirus. Although we have both run into a similar problem. When I first boot up my PC I have no issues, but if the laptop sits idle for a long period or goes to sleep, when I come back I am no longer connected to my local network and when I click my network icon it does not respond or open up the menu to check the nearby networks. The only fix then is to restart the computer. I am running on Windows 7. My wife on the other hand is on Windows 10 and immediately upon booting up her laptop she has no access to internet and has the same issue with the network icon not responding. She then has to restart her laptop and then she can connect to the internet. Otherwise she has the same issue with the computer sitting idle and coming back and having no connection and a non responsive network icon. I have read several other forums that have SIMILAR issues but not the exact same. Most of the solutions I read seem not to apply. Anyone else have this issue or know what I can do to fix it?
