Hi, I'm not a computer wiz, but I've followed all of the directions on your site to remove SpySheriff. I've had little luck. The more I mess with it the more pop ups I get. Please help!!!

Hey kiki25 and Welcome!

I am all too familiar with your frustration!

As I am unfamiliar with the Instructions you refer to,the best thing you can do at this point is post a HijackThis log and as much Info about the Infection as you can!

Most of these new Infections end up here first which makes this site a Hit King from google!

If you will post your HijackThis log and tell me what you have done thusfar...I will be more than happy to assist you all I can!

Hello again, and thank you for all the help. I've downloaded KAV 5.0 but I am having trouble opening it. After the update is complete I try to open the program and it keeps going back to the same update screen. If I try to run a scan it tells me my license has expired. Please help!!!

Have you ever tried using Kaspersky before???

Lets replace Kaspersky with this Scanner since it uses the Same Database and try running it like Calamity Jane says to!

Be Sure to Run "The Hoster" from the link inside Calamity Janes Tutorial!

Please Download the MWAV Scanner from Here

Unzip it to its predetermined Directory (C:\Kaspersky)

Locate "kavupd.exe" in the New Folder and Double Click to Update!

If you it says the signatures are more than 30 days old, keep trying!
Keep trying until you get the actual signatures!

When you see "Updates downloaded Successfully"

Please Press Enter to Continue!

It should open automatically>Leave the "Default Settings ticked" and add a "tick" "Drives">this will light up "All Drives">Click "Scan Clean" to begin!

This Scan will take Several Hours or more to Complete,Depending on the Hard Drive Size!

Please be sure it is Completed before proceeding!

Once the Scan has finished,All entries Identified as Infected will displayed in the lower pane!

Highlight everything that is inside the lower pane and press Ctrl+C at the same time to Copy!

Open a Blank Notepad Page and Paste the results (Ctrl+V) to it!

Post those results back here!

Run this in Place of Kaspersky and use it just as described in the link!
