My system is clean thanks to your great guidance, however I still can't do certain things. So I will come one at a time hopefully I will learn from this. I use AOL on my windows me, and i try to play streaming audio off of a 56kpbs modem. At least its 56kbs when it wants to be, anyway I can't play streaming audio.
The path to the file is not valid
Error ID = 0x800C0005, Remedy ID = 0x00000000

Windows Media Player cannot find the path to the file. Probable causes for this error include: the server name, shared directory name, or file name has been misspelled or has changed.
Check the file name and path for errors. If this error persists, contact the file provider for the correct location of the file you want to play.

That is the message i get when I try to play audio. Is there anyway to fix it?

Everything I could find on this error pointed to two possible issues:

1. Most likely, you have a firewall installed that's blocking the stream (maybe even it's AOL?).

2. You need to update your video driver. Strange as it sounds Windows Media Player will cause this error on audio files if there's a video driver issue. Install the latest video driver for your card.

Yeah I think it is aol or a possible firewall. Umm I think that something else might be in play too. ON the latop there is only one registered user, which is the owner. Other than that on Aol the Master user is my aunt, but she is the only one with access to anything. Even under another master user, you still have the same restrictions as everyone else. I find that odd. If you need more info please by all means ask.
