i recently wiped my hard drive because it had 2 viruses on it. now, when i try to boot from a cd or floppy, the computer loads and stops at: "Boot from ATAPI CD-ROM :" and i cant boot from a cd or floppy. i cant do anything but go into the BIOS and fiddle around.


i would greatly appreciate any information about this topic from any one.

it didnt work.

i also noticed that my hard drive working light is on on my case, even when nothing is happening.

my mother board:

SOYO SY-K7VMP2 [with a] VIA KM400 [chipset] [that is an] ATX MOTHERBOARD
