Ive spent so much time searching online with no answer and also brought to Geek squad who was no help...regarding my HP Livestrong laptop from ~12 years ago. Im not much of a computer guy so maybe the answer is obvious to some. 

 

Need help with extracting HD, it doesnt seem like a standard size, see pics. The screen went out a while back, doesnt work with external display, otherwise still turned on and loaded (screen was ever so faint which is how I knew it was on, but not enough to see or navigate, so HD still good). So I removed HD and tossed the rest. Bought some different universal hd reader/adapters but none fit. All I know is that it is a "Fujitsu Mobile MHU2100AT - hard drive - 100 GB - ATA-100"

 

Please if someone can refer me to the correct reader or an ide/sata -to- (whatever mine is) adapter so I can extract the contents, I would be very grateful.

The HDD its IDE type, to connect to some IDE -> USB adapter you need to remove first the connector used to connect to the laptop interface. Push gently in both sides to avoid bend the pins.
