[Soundproof]

Hello, I am looking for a program that allows me to turn off the screen of my laptop while it's running and keep it turned off until I press a certain hotkey.

I've tried many programs but as soon as I touch the mousepad or press any key, the screen turns on.

Is there any program that allows me to do what I say? Thank you very much in advance for your help.

the script should be copied into notepad (Make sure you get the whole script - press the Expand button ) and saved as "monoff.au3"  note the quotes.  You need them or notepad will save it as a .txt file.

 

Note this requires the free Autoit program

which you need to download (11.7 M),save  and install ( right click and Run As Admin for best results)

 

Then just double click on the monoff.au3 file and it will tell you what the key strokes do.  

Click F11 to shut off the monitor.

 

F10 to fire it backup and ESC to exit the program.  

 

I just tested it on my HP All-In-One and it does turn off the monitor.  If you move the mouse it will flash on but immediately go back off. Sometimes I need to press F10 twice to get the monitor to come on.
