Hi, I have an ellipses 8 tablet that won't let me connect to the internet when I need to use a hot-spot like McDonald's or the hospital. First, I'll select the connection in the list of available connections. Then a message will appear on the top left corner saying "click here to connect" as usual. It leads me to a page with a red lock without any other options to choose. With my other Samsung tablet I have to disable chrome first before I click on the message so that it opens in a different browser other than chrome (I can't do this with the ellipses 8). I then have an option to connect and all is fine as it should be.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you...

Hi jdartist, and welcome to Geeks to Go!

As this seems to be an issue only with the Google Chrome browser (which is the built in one on the ellipses 8), I would suggest you installing an alternative Android browser from the Google Play Store (some good one are: FirefoxOpera, or Dolphin). Then set that browser as the default web browser of your phone (see here a guide on how to change the default browser). And hopefully, that browser will do okay with these WiFi login pages.

Hope that helps! Report back with updates or questions.
