It has fixed it! Both drives are working again!

 

I am speechless! I was not expecting that to happen today. And to think that I almost gave up yesterday! :)

 

Am confused as to what was causing the problem though. Was it the battery? Or Avast? Any ideas?

 

(Can I install Avast again now, btw?)

 

Thank you SOOOOOH amazingly much for your help. I just love you guys!!!! :)

 

Think I need to do something to celebrate now! :)

That's good news.   I don't expect installing Avast will cause a problem.
