Im havin a problem with my ADSL connection. Im paying $55 a month for DSL in the country at 768/256. I live about one and a half miles from my ISP. My problem is that about every 12 minutes my connection speed drops to about 1 kbps. THe connection stays intact but the speed goes way down. I used a bandwidth monitor to monitor the connection while i was uploading a file and then again later when i played xbox live. I emailed my ISP which buys their internet from Great Lakes Comnet (http://www.glcom.net/). They said they didnt know what the problem was and coundnt help me. I also called the GLcomnet tech support and they thought it was a bad modem or a virus was attacking my ISP every 12min. Can anyone help me pin point the problem. The problem occurs 24/7 even when the modem is connected directly to the computer without any other programs usuing it. thanks
