First thing, hopefully I am not in a completely wrong section. I am not totally sure what this would fall under, but here we go anyway.

I'm sure there's a number of ways to do this, but what I want to do is create a private webpage, or some other type of application that would allow me to put a weather widget, calendar, to do list, possibly sports scores of my favorite teams, news headlines, (you get the idea) and be able to display it on a tv or computer monitor. Essentially it would be like a personal or home use dashboard.

Not an exact example of what I want to do but if you view this link the chicago cubs made a custom screen for their lineups and such. What program/software or how would I go about creating a customizable board?

It's not like I could build an app for my self as I have little developing experience. I have used dreamweaver and made a website in HTML5 so I have a little experience using something like that.

Hopefully someone here will be able to help me out or point me in the right direction.

Thanks in advance.
