I have an old computer running Windows 10 with a 1T hard drive.  I just purchased a new Windows 10 computer and am wondering if I could remove the hard drive from my old computer, install it as a secondary hard drive in my new computer rather than transfer files and programs and use it?

:welcome:    duecers,

If the same SATA type HDD you can use the second HDD in the new computer but you should not copy any programs from it to the new HDD as they will not work, photos, music and videos are fine but games and programs such as MS Office that contain dlls and exe files are a no go.

Not heard back from you duecers, do you still require assistance or is the issue now resolved, an update would be appreciated.
