They complained about not being able to edit their favorites menu and stuff.
So far i found out that they have a virus, HLL.ow.Exe.4372. What do they need to do to get rid of it. Also they have newdot.net, where can they download lspfix. Is this an ok reply.

Please Download LSPFix from <insert url>
but DO NOT run it.this is only in case you lose internet connection after removing NEWDOT.NET.
if you lose internet connection open LSPFIX.
Check the "I know what I'm doing" Button then click ‘Finish’
But first:-
Go to ADD\REMOVE programs in control pane and remove NEWDOT.NET.
Then boot up in SAFE MODE
navigate to C:\PROGRAM FILES and delete NEWDOT.NET<---folder
then empty your recycle bin.
Then boot up normally.
Rerun HJT,and put a tick beside these :-

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://www.lmyoqenjb...RmiuSmIXnD.html
F3 - REG:win.ini: load=c:\\ow.exe <- It autoloads ow.exe which is a Virus, HLL.ow.Exe.4372.

O3 - Toolbar: YourSiteBar - {86227D9C-0EFE-4f8a-AA55-30386A3F5686} - C:\Program Files\YourSiteBar\ysb.dll <-Dun know yet
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [New.net Startup] rundll32 C:\PROGRA~1\NEWDOT~1\NEWDOT~2.DLL,NewDotNetStartup -s

then reboot and post a fresh Hijackthis log.

Can I ask who's log this is ?

Although I m told the current version of HJT wont allow you to fix this anyway

O10 - Hijacked Internet access by New.Net

If you remove new.net via Add/Remove programs and all is successful that will not show back up in the log. Nor will the 04 or 02

You don't want to fix any 010's with HJT

Also you have lop infection going on there,
Can you tell me where it is ? and what caused it ?

There are signs of lop infection,
A little hint here
Have your mate remove Messenger Plus! 3 via Add/Remove programs and post back a fresh log, Look for the difference of what will be gone,

Can I ask what a "lop infection" in this context is? Where I come from, a lop is a "not-too-bright" person, so to be infected means you can't get rid of the "lop"---much like head lice in Singapore...
