Hi Hurricane,

I can see that you have some malware issues. This maybe a few step process in removing it. I encourage you to stick with it and follow my directions as closely as possible so as to avoid complicating the problem further.

This is a very important first step. If you don't think you can do it,please get an adult to supervise you. If you do not do this correctly, you can disable your connection and you WILL NOT be able to get on the internet anymore.

A malicious .DLL file is disrupting the LSP chain on your computer. We need to get rid of it.

1. Please download LSPFix from here.
2. Run the LSPFix.exe that you have just finished downloading.
3. Check the I know what I'm doing box.
4. In the Keep box you should see one or more instances of mailscan.dll.
5. Select every instance of mailscan.dll and move each one to the Remove box by clicking the >> button.
6. When you are done click Finish>>.
7. Reboot and please post a fresh HiJackThis log..

Thanks,

:tazz:

Hello, again.

I ran the program, I saw nothing that matched the .dll file you mentioned, could it be something else?

Hi Hurricane,

Good job on that!! :tazz:

I noticed that your HiJackthis.exe is located on your desktop, make sure to save HijackThis in its own folder (i.e. C:\HJT). This is very important, so HiJackThis can save backups!

I can see you have 2 Anti-Virus programs on your computer. This will not give you added security, it more than likely will casue conflicts between the two programs leaving you less protected. You need to pick either WinAntiVirus 2005 or AVPersonal. Soon as you pick one, go to start>control panel>add/remove programs and uninstall one.

Download and install CleanUp! Here*NOTE* Cleanup deletes EVERYTHING out of temp/temporary folders and does not make backups.
We will use this program later.
