Phill thanks for the quick reply! I actually figured it out, it was the stupid MobileSync from my iPhone.  It kept storing a huge (60+ GB) backup of my Iphone. I have deleted it and... Go to the full post »

So I am starting to get the storage warning on my C drive from Windows 10.

I literally deleted over 30 GBs worth of apps yesterday, and today, it suddenly ballooned back up to near capacity.  When I look at the main culprit, Apps, it shows a tremendous amount of GBs being used however the apps do not add up to this amount.  Where is the discrepency coming from?

This is extremely annoying as I keep having to delete stuff to no avail.

Thanks!

Danny

Hello DannyPhilly,

Could be a problem with the drive itself I`m afraid, couple of initial things to do for us if you will, post a screenshot of Disk Manager and download and run Speccy then post the url for us;

·         Right click This PC > Manage > Disk Management.

·         Click Start Menu and then type Disk Management to search.

·         Click Start Menu and type cmd to open command line and then input compmgmt.msc and then click Enter.

To capture and post a screenshot;

Click on the ALT key + PRT SCR key..its on the top row..right hand side..now click on start...all programs...accessories...paint....left click in the white area ...press CTRL + V...click on file...click on save...save it to your desktop...name it something related to the screen your capturing... BE SURE TO SAVE IT AS A .JPG ...otherwise it may be to big to upload... then after typing in any response you have... click on browse...desktop...find the screenshot..select it and click on the upload button...then on the lower left...after it says upload successful...click on add reply like you normally would.

Screenshot instructions are provided to assist those that may read this topic but are not yet aware of the “how to”.

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here,  this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

The last part of each URL is randomized, so only people you provide with the URL will be able to find your profile.

Phill thanks for the quick reply!

I have deleted it and switch to a cloud backup, problem solved!

Apologies for the false alarm!

Thanks!
