You still have a load of junk on your computer and for all we know one of the programs below that I have highlighted in red could be updating/reinstalling drivers that you do not need, 01/10/2... Go to the full post »

Search for and delete the entries that have been mentioned using CCleaner (free) from here, under no circumstances should you use the CCleaner registry cleaner, it is not necessary and if incorrectly used can hose the OS.

 

Defragging a HDD any more than once every couple of months will do more harm than good for the average user, by over doing it you can actually create the very fragmentation that you think that you are avoiding, no need for any third party programs either, Windows has its own built in defrag tool, see tutorial courtesy of Brink here

I recorded another message on the 8th inst., with a couple of queries to you. It appears on page two.  Perhaps I went wrong there.

 

The error messages have not reappeared so I close the matter with thanks for the help I have received.

My reply #31 was in response to your reply on the 8th Cigos and it was to that post that I was asking you for an update on, no biggy but wanted to make sure that my reply answered your queries in your reply #30.
