Hi I hope you can help.

I recently upgraded my Pentium to a new core i5 laptop.

I was using ms office professional plus 2010 (student) version and had the disks so transferred them onto the laptop.

For some reason the Outlook PST archived file folders and personal folders haven't transferred over.  I asked a tech guy here to do it and he said that he wasn't sure what had happened and has left me too google how to download PST files from my old pc to the laptop.

I was feeling a little frustrated as he wasn't being very helpful, and I've found that this site is very helpful in the past, so I've come here to try to get some help as to how I can retrieve my old archived folders and personal folders from my PC desktop and put them onto my laptop.

Can someone please give me some steps I need to take to do that, as I'm not very tech savvy and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with it all!  He had my laptop 3 days and kept delaying things so I am a bit frazzled with it all.

I'd really like to be able to do this because there are files in the archive I need and the personal folders I created which are not available on my laptop.

Thanks for your help.
