Thank you I did come across this but was unsure as it got hacked and a few got malware from the fake .exe file put in it's place. But if you say it is safe? I will give it a go thank you.

The WindowBlinds can apply custom skins to your desktop i'm sure there will be skin (theme) that will make Windows 10 looks like Windows 7. Now when it comes to making Windows 10 act like Windows 7 i will say install Windows 7 you can install Windows 7 skin to make Windows 10 look like Windows 7 but that is all you will and can achieve.

Never come across that HolyCowZ and rest assured i would never suggest anything remotely suspect, my feet wouldn't touch if I did

@Phillpower lol I know you wouldn't be malicious I was not sure if you had seen the info on the hacked site thats all just double checking being careful. Thank you.

Glad to hear that HolyCowZ, don`t go near hacked sites and tbh not sure why Classic Shell would be on such a site being that it is freeware.

I did it manually in the end changed what I needed  till it was more user friendly and am still playing with a demo version before doing the main pc. It seems that windows 10 is much better now the new version they added to download to runs much smoother than when it first came out. It may yet be the best windows ever, I hated it at first.

One thing I have found is chkdsk does give faulty reading if the drive has a few bad sectors that's all i found wrong so far.

Glad you like Windows 10, more people are becoming user friendly towards it.

Not sure what you mean by any faulty reading but if there are bad sectors on a HDD chkdsk should flag them up, that is part of its purpose.

Chdsk doesn't show them says it's all fine but vista and linux show's  them up.

Check the HDD with CrystalDiskInfo 7.0.0 Standard Edition which you can download from here once done grab a screenshot (possibly two) of the results and attach to your next reply for us.

 

Please note that I am not suggesting that you use any other product or service that may be offered at the link.

 

To capture and post a screenshot;

 

Click on the ALT key + PRT SCR key..its on the top row..right hand side..now click on start...all programs...accessories...paint....left click in the white area ...press CTRL + V...click on file...click on save...save it to your desktop...name it something related to the screen your capturing... BE SURE TO SAVE IT AS A .JPG ...otherwise it may be to big to upload... Click on the More Reply Options tab then after typing in any response you have... click on Choose File...desktop...find the screenshot..select it and click on Attach This File...on the lower left...after it says upload successful...click on add reply like you normally would.
