Hi Joe,

Is that it? No other software to remove? If so, thanks again for all your help. If you have time, please could you give me your opinion on cleaning software... reg cleaners, etc. AVAST has one. Also, I think I asked before, but should I be running a VPN? Would it help at all with security? If so, which cleaners and/or VPN would you recommend? Thanks

Hello,

There are no cleaners necessary for windows. There are no browser extensions necessary for browsers.

Never use any registry cleaner, cleaning the registry is unnecessary and can be dangerous. A broken registry is a broken windows.

Run a Malwarebytes scan when you suspect something isn't right.

You can do a disc clean up from windows occasionally.

When I close this topic, I'll provide more tips on general use via a link to security Garden.

Thanks
Joe :)

Hi Joe,

Merry Christmas!

Okay, great. Thanks. I think we've done as much as we can. No sign of that file recently.

Hi Joe,

The fdclient file came back. I bought a bunch of paid software to remove it. Seems to have worked. I think you can close this topic. Thanks again for your help.
