After malware infection/removal, wireless mouse left-click bonkers in Windows 8

I've cleaned up the system and it's okay. Then I refreshed the pc but the mouse problems persist.

 

Also, it seems to work perfectly fine in safe mode. There's supposedly a default mouse settings button in Control Panel: mouse settings but it's not there. 

 

I connected another wireless mouse and it also seems to have mouse response issues(but not click issues) too. 

 

Okay is there a test to see if it's a hardware or software issue  'Cos I can't really tell.

The only thing that I am seeing in Speccy is that you have three different mouse drivers installed, until you can try the mouse on another computer, try uninstalling the three lots of mouse drivers, restart the computer, see if Windows detects new hardware and installs its own generic drivers, see how the mouse behaves.

I uninstalled all the drivers but that still didn't work!

 

So I finally managed to borrow someone elses' computer and guess what? The mouse really was broken!

While not ideal you at least now know that purchasing a new mouse should resolve the issue ( odd that the mouse worked in Safe Mode   )

Maybe the mouse started to fail even more after that.
