I have the same "sounding" problem. A couple of days ago, my sounds stopped working. I, too, just get system beeps when, like, I am trying to do something else with an open dialog box; no .wav sounds, no muzic, etc. Everything else seems like its working o.k.

All my devices "are working properly". It seems like a switch somewhere... :tazz:

toshiba satellite pro 4600, Win 2000, three years old, new HD last year, everything running smoothly... no viruses, adware,...

Any thoughts? Many thanks, Tom

Have you reinstalled sound drivers (i didn't read whole post), you might of deleted your speakers program

Well, Ussally, you have a cd that comes with ur comp or speakers, if not u can google (if u know the page, go there) it and they should have it..

Well who built your speakers? Go to dell.com and see if they have the drivers
