I installed a new hard drive into my dell inspiron 5458 (my last one just gave up). It was configured to run windows 10 however after installation I keep receiving the message no bootable device detected when I turn on my computer. I have gone into my settings and it reads the hard drive I installed as the primary hard drive so I know the drive was installed correctly. I have proceeded to take the hard drive out and put it back in to make sure. Still the same message. Yesterday I even went as far as to download Linux onto a flash drive and try to install it onto my computer however it refuses to install onto my hard drive so when I remove the USB it gives me the no bootable devices message again. I am in desperate need of help. I have gone many places and simply don't have the money to have a technician look into it. Can anyone help me?

Did the installation of Windows 10 finish or you got "no bootable device detected" on the first reboot during install?

I actually figured out the issue. I had to change my boot loader from uefi to legacy and turn off secure boot. Thank you for trying to help thought it's greatly appreciated
