Hi,
I can inform you my PC is running fine again !
I had some trouble finding a Win 7 SP1 32 bit Pro Dutch version. When i followed the links you provided me, i had to key in my WIN 7 key but got the message from MS that this was an OEM key and that i had to contact the manufacturer. Acer did however not provide any way of downloading this. This made me aware that next time, i'll buy a PC, i'll make sure to have Win images of it as without it i would have been stuck.
During the weekend, i was able to find one...thank god !
I went over the repair route, had to call MS for getting a code as my COA (the one on the sticker of the PC) was rejected by MS while activating (it was considered not valid), but that process went fine, i was able to finish the repair and activate Win 7 afterwards without any issues.
Thanks a lot for your assistance in getting me over this issue !
Happy holidays and enjoy Thanksgiving (if you happen to celebrate it), As you know we in Europe don't do this.
Cheers
Paul.
