I currently have a VOIP phone which plugs in to a router. I am changing provider and one option is the Vodafone R216 which for some reason gives a much better 4G upload and download than the Vodafone router. The difference is 28Mbps download compared to 6Mbps and 17Mbps upload to 1.5Mbps.

As the R216 has no ethernet ports, I was considering using a repeater with ports for the VOIP phone to access the network. How much would the transfer between the R216 unit and the repeater affect the VOIP performance?
