I am looking at a situation that follows:

I have a domain lets call it company.com which has no content on it.

However it contains a large number (in the hundreds) of sub domains division.company.com, which are all C names, and are hosted by one provider.

I am wanting to add another sub domain assist.company.com which will be hosted by a different provider.

Is it better to use a C name or an A name and point the assist.company.com to the new hosts IP address, or will this affect the other sub domains?

Any assistance would be appreciated.
