Sorry (ashamed actually) to say I am still confused about where my downloads end up on my W10 desktop. Would appreciate getting squared away.

1. I download an app. Should it not appear in C:\This PC\downloads ? It does not appear there. How can I make it appear there?

2. The listing I get when I go to File Manager C:\This PC\Downloads, how I can order this listing to make the most recent download appear at the top?

Thanks.  ... batpark

It depends on how you have configure the internet browser you are using to download files but Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge browsers store downloaded files at C:\Users\YourUserName\Downloads folder.

Right click empty space and select Sort by from the context menu.
