Help please with email on my LG smart phone (LS620 with Android 4.4.2). Until recently clicking the email icon connected me to my Yahoo mail account and I could send and receive email messages.

Now I can <send> email messages from the LG phone to my self and I can receive them on my PC -- but they never appear on my LG phone.

I keep getting an error message on the LG phone to the effect “there is not enough storage, delete some items to proceed.” I have eliminated <all> the messages on the Yahoo account on the LG phone – all Incoming, Sent, and Draft messages and I still do not receive emails. What other “items” can I delete?

FWIW, the Smart phone <is> able to work the internet; it correctly shows the NYTimes URL for example; and it correctly accesses and uses Google.

Can someone tell me what is going on here? Thanks. ...batrpark

Hello Channeal, Zep516, merr4: I thought you might be interested in knowing that I have fixed the email issue with my LG Android smart phone. As you and others suggested, the problem was with the version of Yahoo associated with that account on the LG phone. Poking around on my desktop PC, I finally managed to to get to the settings for my Yahoo account. Once there, I checked an option that said, in effect, "I recognize the vulnerabilities in using this older version of Yahoo but prefer to stay with it rather than move to the newer version recommended by Yahoo". I then opened that previously non-working "email icon" on my LG phone. And, voila, some hundred messages dating back several weeks started to download. And that "email" icon account now works fine.

I really never needed that email account but it bothered me nonetheless that it had stopped working, feel much better now.

Thank you all for your help. .... batpark
