I am not super tech savy and need some help with this one!

I am trying to find a way to display information on an iCloud calendar in a very particular way as follows:

  • I need to display one week view (or perhaps 2-3 if it's easy) on a TV but I am only displaying whole-day events.
  • I need each day to display in as large an area as possible (I don't need weekends). For example, 5 columns or sections within the page
  • I'm not able to change from iCloud as I share this calendar with others.
  • I need the text to be as large as possible
  • The calendar must update automatically as I enter new 'whole-day events' into it

I am hoping to run this from a windows computer, although I could find an old iPhone and run it from there if necessary.

The problem I encounter is that either the names of the events display very small or it won't display them all as it only displays a certain amount (usually around 5) and you have to scroll down to see the rest, whereas I want to display it on a TV for staff at my workplace to see (i.e. it's a static display).

I would be most helpful for any tips on how to achieve this.

P.S. I have no coding experience!

I've attached an image of the type of display I'm hoping to achieve.

I need some clarification :

"I'm not able to change from iCloud as I share this calendar with others."

Does not make much sense with this in mind :

"I am hoping to run this from a windows computer"

Are you talking about a hackintosh ? Otherwise it would be pretty hard to run icloud calendar on windows. Maybe you can find a good calender software that has those display customization features (I am sure there is one) and allows you to sync calendars to iCloud ? This might work since even Microsoft Outlook has a "Sync to iCloud" feature.

Thanks for the response, Alex!

What I mean is that I can't just create a new calendar account to solve the problem as it must be an iCloud calendar. The reason for this is because I share this cloud with others and don't think I'll be able to convince them to move.

I do, however, want to use a windows PC to run the display on the TV, simply because I have one at my disposal. I could use an old iPhone if need be but would prefer to use a PC.

I would love to think that there is a calendar out there that I can import my iCloud calendar into that does what I want but I have searched a lot and can't find one.

Thanks again for your response.

You are looking for Microsoft Outlook.

Its prime features are built around E-Mail and Calendar , you can use the calendar without having to bother about the email stuff at all. It can be synced to iCloud Calendar with the tools for Windows. It offers customizable views where you can choose font since and general appearance of your view. I made a little test for a workweek with a few events. Excuse the language, I only have the german version but I will try to make it as obvious as possible.

This is just an example view of a workweek. I changed the font size and type of dates , the color of specific categories (yellow = support , red = phone calls) . The only thing that I could not figure out yet is how to change the font color of the view. I use Outlook 2016 and unfortunately you cant format appointment text there. It only works unitl Outlook 2010. If you want I can install Outlook 2010 and provide you with some screenshots where you can tell if it solves your problem or not.

Best regards

Alex
