I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox as it was running slowly. I got the "connection not secure error" for Google and Yahoo search and some other websites. Others worked fine. Other browsers worked fine.

I tried the various things recommended on Google but nothing worked. I restored Firefox from a Shadowprotect backup and it works fine.

I suppose this question is academic since Firefox is working, but any ideas why there was that error after installation?

Hello,

It's possible your security (Anti Virus) could have caused an issue at install time.

I use Webroot which doesn't have an option to disable https scanning. I actually uninstalled webrooot and still got the error after installing firefox. I wonder if there was something simple I was missing.

I am having the same kind of problem. It came unexpectedly today. This Error code: SEC_ERROR_OCSP_OLD_RESPONSE  hasn't happened before.

Now I am getting ""SEcured connexion failed"" (problem loading page) error messages on some sites

including Yahoo but other web pages are causing no problem.

This is the error message: The trouble is there is no active box to report the problem to Mozilla.

Secure Connection Failed

While a lot of other websites are working.............. but not Yahoo and this is where all my mailboxes are.

I am getting no report of spyware or virus/trojans on my computer.

My operating system is XP Pro SP3

Any idea how I can fix this?

it's a big problem

Thank you very much in advance for your help.
