Dears

Currently I want to upgrade my PC GPU to either GeForce GT 730 or GEFORCE® GTX 1050

1. I want to know if my PC support any of these GPUs?

2. I want to know with my current PC spec is there will be bottleneck on using max performance of above GPU?

3. I want to know if any of above GPU have known issues?

below are my PC
spec:
CPU:                   AMD Phenom Quad-Core 9850 Black Edition
GPU:                   NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS
MotherBoard:     ASUS M3A32-MVP DELUXE
                          Dual-Channel DDR2 -1066/800/667/533
                          4 x PCIe 2.0 Gfx with ATI CrossFireX™ support
Power:               AcBel iPower 510 (PC7013)

AcBel-iP510_41.jpg
RAM:                  2 Corsair 2GB PC2-6400 (400 MHz) DDR2
Disk/RAID:          Maxtor 250GB, Maxtor 320GB, Western Digital 2TB
Cooling:             1 Fan on case
OS:                    Microsoft Windows 7 (6.1) Ultimate Edition SP 1

:welcome:   TomatoKetchup,

There is no real way of answering your questions individually as the answers are somewhat contradictory;

Either card should work with your MB, CPU and RAM but at a reduced rate due to the bottleneck of the dated DDR2 technology, you also have to consider what you want to use the computer for, if gaming, any intended game will have minimum and recommended specifications that are required, use them as a guide.

More of a concern is the junk PSU, I wouldn`t recommend it be used with the present hardware let alone a new GPU, upgrade that to an appropriate quality brand bronze rated PSU as a minimum before upgrading your video card else you risk it popping and hosing all of your hardware  :(

Few years ago( around 3) i had similar machine. DDR2 and Core 2 Duo E6750. Wanted to upgrade my video card as my 9800gtx + was very old and dx 10 only. So firstly i bougth gtx 650....absolutely bad idea. Next 7770 ATI....same story. After that bought 7870 Ati and it was bottlenecked by the cpu a great deal. I got angry because my few upgrades with better and better gpu didn't fulfill my expectations for substantion difference. I sold my setup and bough new one with i7 cpu. So the thing is that there is no point investing in that PC. Just use it as it is until you save money for new one :)
