Firefox and everything else is working great. Smooth and normal. Chrome is still jumpy and hesitant with not responding notices occasionally. Not nearly as bad as before.

Reset your Chrome browser

How to reset Chrome browser settings;

1.In the top-right corner of the browser window, click the Chrome menu
2.Select Settings.
3.At the bottom, click Show advanced settings.
4.Under the section "Reset settings,” click Reset settings.
5.In the dialog that appears, click Reset.

That might help Chrome.

Hello,
  • Don't download. Browser extensions can slow the browser. I don't use any extensions.
  • Run Malwarebytes when you suspect something is not right.
  • Check your add remove programs list for odd entries espically if you see a pop up.
  • Keep flashplayer up to date, never click on a flashplayer pop up offering an up date.
  • Never open E-Mail attachments.
  • Use diskclean up in windows occasionally and defrag once a month.
  • Clear you browser cache once a week.
  • Don't use registry cleaners.
  • Don't download programs that claim to make windows run better

If you don't know how to do something Google it like.
    Clear Firefox cache
    Disc clean up in XP.

I'll have more tips via link to security Garden when I close the topic.

I see no signs of malware on your computer, and feel satisfied that our work here is done.

You usually get infected because your security settings are too low.

Here are a number of recommendations that will help tighten them, and which will contribute to making you a less likely victim:
