There can be many different reasons why this happening, first and fore most have you tried sticking in your power cable in correctly.

Can you clarify a couple things first.

Is the monitor losing the AC power or are you losing the display part of it?

In other words, does the power light go to a yellow color (loss of signal from the computer for the display) or is it completely dark (like its been unplugged).
