Hello, I'm having trouble with my Mitsubishi XD221-U projector. The projector operates fine when cloning the desktop and in projector only mode, but doesn't work with extend desktop. The screen either displays the desktop correctly or a black screen (I can see the moue moving around), and after about one second it turns blue. After a few more seconds it says "no signal". The bulb is ready to be replaced, but considering it works in other display modes that doesn't seem like the problem.

After some research it seemed like the problem was that the computer was trying to force the projector into a non-native resolution. I've looked and the projector is set to its native 1024x768. I tried setting the desktop resolution to 1024x768 and tried extending, still no dice. I've hit a wall and can't figure out what to try next.

Ideas?
