Removing Cortana

I've tried the regedit and the gpedit.msc methods described numerous times.  However, neither works.  I still have Cortana eating 30 MB of memory, according to the Task Manager.

 

My computer is running Windows 10 Pro

You cannot remove Cortana its part of the Windows Search.
