Hello, sorry I'm advance if this is in the wrong place, has already been answered before, and if I can't give very good information.

My Lenovo ThinkPad laptop crashed recently, and when I started it up again the screen was split into 6 different displays, with a blank, black line down the middle of the screen. The resolution also seems to be lowered and it isn't showing any higher resolution options. The issue doesn't appear when I connect it to a tv with HDMI cable.

Search for:

device manager

Hit enter.

Find Display Adapters and click on the arrow in front to open it.  Normally there is only one adapter so right click on it and Uninstall.  Reboot.  This should force Windows to reinstall it correctly.  If it doesn't help try downloading and installing a new video/graphics driver from Lenovo's support website.

What version of windows is this and what is the part number of your PC?
