Connecting an unprotected PC to the internet will get you in trouble.
On average it takes ten minutes before you get infected.

Since you recently formatted anyway, I would advise to do it again. Only this time install a firewall and/or a antivirus before you connect it.

I can see at least one Passwordstealer for bankaccounts and one virus. And one probable trojan.

Regards,

If you get one of these popups can you rightclick it and post the properties for me?

Check the following items in HijackThis.
Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

I have removed the selections with hijack this, the pop ups still coming, but there is a new one now, asking if I am hard enough for this alex woman and if i was to go to her webcam site. There is an attachment of a pic of one of pop ups, cos it won't right click. Hope this helps. hijack this log below.

OK that one's easy.

Get a firewall !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :tazz:

Your system is wide open. These popups are sent by a Windows messenger system that was meant for (corporate) networks.

If these get through it is definitely not working as it should.

Either it is not configured properly or it wasn't installed correctly. Hard to tell from a distance which one.

If you have stopped that service, there is no {bleeping} way those popups can get through.

If you have configured your firewall correctly, there is no way a outsider can display those adds on your computer.

There is another way to stop them though: http://grc.com/stm/s...hemessenger.htm

Let me know if you are absolutely sure that this is another form of popups.
