SO, got a new gpu. It was working just fine after my aunt haphazardly shoved it into my pc and I played skyrim special edition (that automatically set my graphics to ultra) for about an hour before calling it quits because college. I noticed at the time that the game was a little laggy and gross looking but paid no mind because I was tired. A couple days later I go back onto my pc to find that the game wouldn't launch. I'd click on it, a pop-up thing came up teling me it was getting ready (or something) and disappeared. Nothing happened. This repeated about 5 times before I decided to try it from steam, same thing happens, and i look up the problem only to see the nVidia website recomended to update drivers and i thought it was an easy fix thank god. NOPE. After waiting for it to install it told me it failed. I tried this twice before reading online that you had to go into a control panel (?) and select the card you wanted to use (i have both and integrated and dedicated card). I tried only for it not to work and tried a couple other things before it told me to restart in order for it to finish installing.
I restarted only to see that the skyrim game could launch, but the setting were set to the lowest. I reset the settings only for it to say no dedicated card was detected so the settings were set to the lowest. Lastly, i tried to update the drivers again and restart the computer only for it to wake up and be weird. The log in and desktop was kind of zoomed in? big and pixelated? So i freaked out and restarted it and it didn't change and i figured [bleep] IT and tried to update the drivers again and restart the computer and it was back to normal. I felt like Albert [bleep]ing Einstein for fixing it only for me to go on skyrim and it not detect my graphics card.
I have a NVIDIA Geforce Gtx 960 2gb Gpu and windows 10. I am beyond done can someone please help.
