Hi,

Just got a warning message that my disk space is almost used up.

Had my new SSD laptop for about 2 weeks & save almost nothing to the hard drive so not sure what is filling up my machine....Any good advise please?!

Many thanks Freebooter.

I downloaded then ran WinDirStat but confess I am unsure what to do next. The files that are shown I am not sure if cleaning them (ie: deleting) will be result in removing necessary files.....

Should I send you a screen grab of the scan results?.....

Thanks FB.

The TFC prog I have seen & used before so I ran that through just now....only cleaned out about 340mb which is OK as I now feel I didn't have any junk sitting on my drive.

Before I start with the 'Clear Temp' application I confess I am a little unsure what you meant by, "This batch script also deletes uninstall Windows update installation files which means only run this batch script if you have no issue with Windows updates and you don't need to uninstall any installed Windows updates.".

I read that the application will not uninstall any recent Windows updates...is that correct?   Which would mean that any recent Windows updates will remain.....?

Sorry to labour on this but if it is important enough for you mention it then I need to be sure I understand!   :D

I have no issue with not being able to revert to a previous installation as once I have resolved my problem then I can create a new start point.

Hi FB,

I owe you an apology for not getting back to you sooner but I still have an issue with a sick family member so am finding it difficult to focus on my PC issue just now.

As an update a while back I did manage to clear my Google History. I then selected 'Properties' for my 'C' drive, then ran through the 'Disk Cleanup' option....that cleared a few gigabytes!

Having said that however it does seem that slowly but surely something is taking up my hard drive.

I will continue do do regular cleanups with the TFC macro, keep my Google History clear & also run the Disk Cleanup option. I will also look at deleting all the system restore points that you advised with the attached link:

For now though I with the sick family member I do apologise but I'm going to have to hang on a while before I can work on this issue again.

Again my apologies but I hope to get back to you soon!
