Was watching my tv and then this guys computer showed up on my screen. He was Surfing then he was on Skype and my tv rang he was chatting with 5 other people. Could not get him off my tv. The other tv's in my house are fine. Turned off my camera, changed my internet password. How did this happen And can I protect myself from this happening again? Samsung smart tv 2012.

If you saw him on Skype then I would change the Skype password.  Then in Skype go to Tools, Privacy and tell it to only allow calls from your contact list and to only receive video and share screens with people in my Contact list only.

Also change the Samsung account password

I have never used my tv to Skype. But will try what you have suggested and see if that works.

from my understanding the tv skype app is no longer supported by microsoft since june 2016 and am surprised it's still on your tv. my samsung tv updated and removed the app ages ago.

no support means no security fixes and seeing how you don't use skype on your tv anyway then for best security i'd go into the tv's app settings and remove the app completely from your tv.
