70 C?  What does Process Explorer say?  Is it heavily loaded?

You can use Speedfan to monitor the temperature in real time:

(Don't get the latest version as filehippo has a bad copy.  Instead get version 4.51.  Avoid the speedfan website's version as it is full of adware.)

Download, save and Install it (Win 7 or Vista right click and Run As Admin.) then run it (Win 7 or Vista right click and Run As Admin.).

It will tell you your temps in real time tho the default is to show the hard drive temp in the systray.  You can change it:  Hit Configure then click on the highest temp and check Show in tray

The System Idel CPU was 70, but I might have screwed up. My action center flag was blinking so I hit the security up date and now my CPU is in the low 90's. I down loaded Speed Fan and the temp is around 42. I just checked my SIP CPU again and it is around 70 again.

OK.  Do a new Process Explorer log and let's see what is using the CPU.  Remember to wait a minute after bringing up Process Explorer before creating the log.

WMI is back.  Since the tweaking.com thing wasn't a permanent fix try:

I couldn't get the link to open and I wasn't quite confidant enough to try the alternative. I ran Tweaking again. It turns off my security and lat time I turned it back on. I think that might be where I screwed up. I haven't changed anything since I ran Tweaking last night.

The link I gave you works fine for me.  What it says if you still need it is:

The WMI Repository must be rebuilt/repaired so that the Data Collector server can successfully report the host status to the connection broker.

For Windows Vista, Windows 7,  Windows Server 2008, and Windows Server 2008 R2, try to run the following:

  1. winmgmt /verifyrepository
If the result is shown as inconsistent, go to step 2
  2. winmgmt /salvagerepository
  3. winmgmt /verifyrepository - to check again wmi repository had been repaired successfully

To fully rebuild the WMI Repository follow these steps:

  1. Disable and stop the winmgmt service
  2. Remove or rename C:\Windows\System32\wbem\repository
  3. Enable and start the winmgmt service
  4. Open a CMD prompt as Administrator
  5. In the CMD prompt Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\wbem\
  6. Run the following command:

‘for /f %s in ('dir /b *.mof') do mofcomp %s’

Note: This will take a minute or so to complete.

  1. Now run the command:

‘for /f %s in ('dir /b en-us\*.mfl') do mofcomp en-us\%s’

  1. Restart the Data Collector service

Lastly, open PERFMON to verify that all counters can be loaded. If PERFMON generates a popup error, please follow this Microsoft KB to fix it:

Can I see another Process Explorer log?

Delays are no problem.  I don't keep track and I don't lock inactive threads.
