I am getting the following error code (code 43) whenever I connect my keyboard which has a PS2 pin through a PS2-USB adapter.

I tried two different adapters, both have the same problem.

I tried plugging into different USB ports, the error repeats.

The keyboard's 'num lock caps lock and scroll lock" lights turn on and their respective keys work but no other key functions.

I tried uninstalling the driver from device manager and scanning for hardware changes, tried uninstalling and restarting laptop. Even tried the troubleshooter but nothing works. Checked for device updates, but it said that the device was up to date

My system is running on Windows 10

Please help

Thank you

Hello Vinod,

From the above screenshot, it seems that your drive needs to be updated. Just to do right click on the drive which is showing yellow exclamation mark and select update driver software. I believe it will resolve your problem.

Thanks!

Hi,

Do the hard drive is visible in disk management? Can you please tell its status in disk management? Might be your drive have lost its file system and turned into a RAW format that’s why it is showing as an unknown device.

Please acknowledge me the disk management status so that I can help you out.

Hello

I didn't quite understand what I was supposed to check. Here is a screenshot of the disk management screen.

Thank you
