My cursor is jumping all over the place and when I type, the computer is several seconds behind me. I have the lenovo thinkpad note pad 11e with Win7 OS. I'm using the touchpad. When I checked with Driver Upgrades from the manufacturer I was told everything was up to date. I haven't tried a mouse because I don't have one, but I could borrow.

Any ideas, Geeks?

Thank you once again for all your help.

There really is quite a number of things that it could be.

I find this happens to me whenever I have any form of cable with a current sit over the track pad. I.e. when I have my phone plugged into the USB port, when I use a mouse connected via USB etc.

This also happens if I get the slightest amount of moisture on my track pad i.e. after washing hands, condensation from drinks etc.

Here are a couple of other things you may like to try: http://www.thewindow...ly-while-typing

Let us know how you get on.

Thanks Makko... sorry for the delay getting back to you but I don't have internet and must go into town to get on line.

Let me work through a few things outlined on the link you provided and I'll see if there is an improvement.

Best,

Bry

Okay Makko... replaced the driver for the Touch Pad and ran a quick scan with Windows Essentials and it didn't find a virus.

Still have the problem with the cursor jumping around. It seems to resister my movements on the touch pad but is slow and jumps. And like I said, the type shows up on the screen several seconds after I type.

Thanks,

Bry

Makko... I think you can stand down. Today the touchpad works perfectly. Go figure.... I guess the new driver did the trick!

Thanks for your help.... but I'll be back if the touchpad goes screwy again....

A big thank to all geeks,

Bry
