I disabled it now, a slight difference maybe.

I also have plans for changing HDD with my friend. He has also Seagate 1TB which is around 1 year or more old(Approximately like mine), just the thing is, he doesn't use the PC much, especially for nothing serious, just some solitaire and a few movies. So I think his HDD should be really in a better position than mine which seems to misbehave.

So I wanted to ask you, can I copy-paste from one HDD to another whole OS and the items in it? Let's say I make my HDD empty. Can I take everything(OS+programs in it) and drag to my empty HDD without losing any data, even keeping the desktop icon positions? Any decent-free program for that? And yes, I have cables to connect both HDD's, he has like 200-300GBs used which I'd need to transfer with the OS to my empty HDD.

It's called cloning.

I've used AOMEI

http://www.backup-ut...e-software.html

and Macrium Reflect Free Edition http://www.macrium.c...eflectfree.aspx

What does your CPU-Z say now that you have disabled the quiet option?

So which one should I use? And how long should it actually take to clone whole OS and around 200-300GBs of movies, etc?

Here's the screen for CPU-Zreport.png

You can use whichever you like.  I think AOMEI is probably easier for a beginner.

It's going to take a few hours to do the cloning.  Check back on it once in a while to make sure it's not waiting for a reply from you.  Sometimes it finds a sector it can't copy and wants to know if it's OK to skip it.  Yes.

I did it with AOMEI, took around 20- 30 mins to clone fully whole 300GBs. I am on the other HDD now, feels a bit better but as for performance in general, still not as it was before.

You might try the OC Tweaker in the BIOS and see what you can do with the CPU speed that is now set to Auto

Can you run new Speccy  and Process Explorer logs with the new drive?

It quite would be an overclocking, wouldn't it be? As I already have boosted my CPU and reaching over 65C temperature, is it safe going more far if I can?

Right now it has a problem with MSE

MsMpEng.exe    11.05    159,088 K    193,536 K    2044    Antimalware Service Executable    Microsoft Corporation

I would uninstall it and install the free Avast.

I think the Auto thing is what is overclocking the CPU now.  If you go in to the BIOS option you can probably change it back to the correct value so that you are not overclocking.

Click on Download then choose the free version.

Download, Save, and right click and Run As Administrator.  Decline any optional software and stay with the free "basic" version.

How do I uninstall it? So no more HDD errors, right?

I think yes, auto makes it overclocked. But I am fine with it, if I turn it off, I lose the performance even more. I see no point turning the OC off for the CPU, the temperatures are reasonable either.

As HDD seems to be fine, the anti-virus changed, the OC kept as it was(It only increases the performance), is there anything else that could solve this performance loss which still kinda exists?

Since this is 8 you don't really need to uninstall it.  Just install Avast and Avast will turn it off.

The hard drive is not error free.  It's better than the old one but it's still a Seagate and it's got errors - just not as many as the other.

When exactly does it seem to be slower than it was?

Don't suppose you could change out the video card?

Will do it then. As for HDD, was there anything serious regarding the errors you saw? Or just minor ones?

Well, tbh whole PC seems to be slower. In the past, it was booting up in 5-10 seconds, right after it booted and I saw the desktop, I was  already able to launch the items very fast, like instantly- I click on smth, everything appears, everything seemed to be faster. I remember I was amazed for such fast performance of HDD and PC in general.  As for games, I've been having approx 10-20FPS more. I mostly have 30-50 in high/ultra settings in games I play(GTA 5, Assassin's Creed etc). Now I am constantly being at 45-50 in over-loaded spots of the game and going to 50-60 even at also but less crowded areas. For example, mainly sitting at 30-45 in GTA 5(So that's like 10-15FPS less for the crowded areas). And in general, it felt much smoother. I mean, even then I was getting to 40 FPS +- but it felt much smoother.

I was thinking about Ram speeds in BIOS, it was set to auto, while the max I can take is 2133Mhz I think in the bios. I changed them to 1600Mhz and it felt smoother but I wanted to ask if i can really do the change or even go for 2133Mhz even though my ram isn't that fast? Can it get damaged that way or? However, this still doesn't solve the FPS/performance in general loss I suffer from. This seems to get desperate.

And no, I can't really afford another GPU for now, the other ones I have somewhere, is like 512Mb (GT9600 it was I think), so it is much slower than the GTX 750Ti I have.

And again, I think I mentioned before, that I had some issues with my GPU before, replacing it a few times to the PCI-E, seemed to fix the blue screens/crashed i've been having in-games. So it could be faulty, but shouldn't it crash now also? Instead of putting me to lower performance and not giving any errors?

Oh and the last thing, I was thinking to send you some images of my PC in real view, maybe when I was cleaning the dusts(I can't remember very well what I did right before I lost the performance, but I think i cleaned the dusts too and then reinstalled the windows), maybe then I plugged something not in the right place or..Just saying, maybe you should take a look of the PC itself

Have we looked at the boot log?

Search for

msconfig

hit Enter.

Under the Boot tab, check Boot Log and hit OK.  Then reboot.

The log is C:\Windows\ntbtlog.txt

It's hidden so you may need to tell windows to let you see it:

Copy its text and post it.

Can you answer the questions I asked in my last post also? 1. HDD 2.Ram speeds 3.Sending you real pictures of my PC's inside

I've already changed and enabled the boot log, will restart in a hour or so, currently installing a game for my cousin. Once it's done, I'll post the log

These are the errors I see on your new hard drive:

01
Attribute name Read Error Rate
Real value 0
Current 119
Worst 99
Threshold 6
Raw Value 000D6D0DF0
Status Good
...
07
Attribute name Seek Error Rate
Real value 0
Current 69
Worst 60
Threshold 30
Raw Value 00007CDB8B
Status Good
...
BC
Attribute name Command Timeout
Real value 4
Current 100
Worst 99
Threshold 0
Raw Value 0000000004
Status Good

Command Timeout is probably the most important error.  I would watch it and see if it is climbing.

Can you run the HD test that we ran earlier?  Does the graph look better?

Your bootlog shows:

BOOTLOG_LOADED \SystemRoot\System32\drivers\dxgkrnl.sys

BOOTLOG_NOT_LOADED \SystemRoot\System32\drivers\dxgkrnl.sys

BOOTLOG_NOT_LOADED \SystemRoot\System32\drivers\dxgkrnl.sys

BOOTLOG_NOT_LOADED \SystemRoot\System32\drivers\dxgkrnl.sys

BOOTLOG_NOT_LOADED \SystemRoot\System32\drivers\dxgkrnl.sys

BOOTLOG_LOADED \SystemRoot\system32\drivers\WdFilter.sys

BOOTLOG_NOT_LOADED \SystemRoot\system32\drivers\WdFilter.sys

So it keeps tryng to load drivers it has already loaded.  Apparently this has a big effect on the boot time and is caused by your friends at NVIDIA.  See:
