Normally I would say it's getting hot but you seem to have covered that possibility tho if this is a desktop I would still open it up and clean out the interface between the heatsink and the fan and clean any other vents and fans including the power supply.

I don't see the point of messing with PageFile Size.  If it needs to use the PageFile then it's out of RAM and your game is going to suffer while it puts and retrieves data from the PageFile which is on the hard drive.

It's possible you have a memory leak in one of your programs.

Get Process Explorer

Save it to your desktop then run it (Vista or Win7+ - right click and Run As Administrator).

View, Select Column, check Verified Signer, OK
Options, Verify Image Signatures

Click twice on the Private Bytes column header  to sort things by RAM usage with the big hitters at the top.
Note the three biggest users.
Leave Process Explorer running.

Wait a few minutes and look again.  Have the values of the biggest users changed at all?

Repeat for Working Set Column Header.

If you have a slow memory leak you can expect to see one slowly increasing.

Chrome appears to have a slow leak but I'm sure it would be closed during gaming so make sure you close all browsers and programs you wouldn't normally have open during gaming.

While you have it open,

Click once or twice on the CPU column header  to sort things by CPU usage with the big hitters at the top.

Wait a full minute then:

File, Save As, Save.  Note the file name.   Open the file  on your desktop and copy and paste the text to a reply.  That will let me see if there is anything running that should not be.

Another possibility is DPC Latency.  It's a common cause of stuttering but usually always there rather than coming on after a while.

You can use DPC Checker:

It has a bug in Win 8/10 that makes it always read a minimum of 1000 microseconds so it will always show in the yellow but if you do not see red and it says that the PC is good for streaming audio and video then that's OK.

Let's also check your event log:

1. Please download the Event Viewer Tool by Vino Rosso
and save it to your Desktop:
2. Right-click VEW.exe and Run AS Administrator
3. Under 'Select log to query', select:

* System
4. Under 'Select type to list', select:
* Error
* Warning

Then use the 'Number of events' as follows:

1. Click the radio button for 'Number of events'
Type 20 in the 1 to 20 box
Then click the Run button.
Notepad will open with the output log.

Please post the Output log in your next reply then repeat but select Application.  (Each time you run VEW it overwrites the log so copy the first one to a Reply or rename it before running it a second time.)

And your harddrive:

Get the free version of Speccy:

http://www.filehippo...download_speccy (Look in the upper right for the Download
Latest Version button  - Do NOT press the large Start Download button on the upper left!)
Download, Save and Install it.  Tell it you do not need CCLEANER.    Run Speccy.  When it finishes (the little icon in the bottom left will stop moving),
File, Save as Text File,  (to your desktop) note the name it gives. OK.  Open the file in notepad and delete the line that gives the serial number of your Operating System.
(It will be near the top,  10-20  lines down.) Save the file.  Attach the file to your next post.  Attaching the log is the best option as it is too big for the forum.  Attaching is a multi step process.

First click on More Reply Options
Then scroll down to where you see
Choose File and click on it.  Point it at the file and hit Open.
Now click on Attach this file.

Your hard drive is showing some reallocated sectors and some pending so it's had problems.   Also showing lots of read and UltraDMA CRC Errors so might be time to consider cloning it and replacing it.

In the mean time I would force Windows to do a disk check then dism and sfc:

http://www.thewindow...cking-windows-8

You will have to reboot and the diskcheck should then run.  May take a few hours.

After the disk check then do:

Open an elevated command prompt:

If you open an elevated command prompt it will by default open in c:\Windows\system32

Once you have an elevated command prompt:

Type(with an Enter after each line):

 DISM  /Online  /Cleanup-Image  /RestoreHealth

 (I use two spaces so you can be sure to see where one space goes.)
This will take a while to complete.  Once the prompt returns:

Reboot.  Open an elevated Command Prompt again and type (with an Enter after the line):

sfc  /scannow

This will also take a few minutes.

When it finishes it will say one of the following:

Windows did not find any integrity violations (a good thing)
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and repaired them (a good thing)
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some (or all) of them (not a good thing)

If you get the last result then type:

findstr  /c:"[SR]"  \windows\logs\cbs\cbs.log  >  \junk.txt

Hit Enter.  Then type::

notepad  \junk.txt

Hit Enter.

 Copy the text from notepad and paste it into a reply.

After you finish SFC, regardless of the result:

1. Please download the Event Viewer Tool by Vino Rosso
and save it to your Desktop:
2. Right-click VEW.exe and Run AS Administrator
3. Under 'Select log to query', select:

* System
4. Under 'Select type to list', select:
* Error
* Warning

The last time you ran VEW both logs were for System.

After The SFC Scan Result
windows resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired
them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For
example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. Note that logging is currently not
supported in offline servicing scenarios.

I'm in Florida USA so Eastern Standard time.  GMT-5 so don't expect replies when it's after midnight here.

Did DISM run OK?

I'm seeing file system problems even after running the disk check, dism & sfc so it may be time to clone your hard drive and replace it.

Some folders can't be found and others seem to have permission problems.

Event: 7000 Source: Service Control Manager
The luafv service failed to start due to the following error:  This driver has been blocked from loading

I have no idea why the luafv service is getting blocked.  The file should have been fixed with SFC and DISM

Let's clear the events, reboot and look again.  Perhaps it has been fixed and this is an old event.
Copy the next line:
for /F "tokens=*" %1 in ('wevtutil.exe el') DO wevtutil.exe cl "%1"
Open an elevated command prompt:

right click and Paste (or Edit then Paste) and the copied line should appear.  Hit Enter.  There will be a few errors but ignore them.

Reboot.

Run VEW again for both System and Application.

For these errors:
Log: 'Application' Date/Time: 02/03/2017 2:57:46 PM
Type: Error Category: 5973
Event: 5973 Source: Microsoft-Windows-Immersive-Shell
Activation of app Microsoft.WindowsStore_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App failed with error: This app can't be activated by the Built-in Administrator. See the Microsoft-Windows-TWinUI/Operational log for additional information.

See:

https://support.micr...application-log

This is another sign of a sick hard drive since it is not remembering your user profile correctly.

This one:

Log: 'System' Date/Time: 02/03/2017 2:54:58 PM
Type: Error Category: 0
Event: 7000 Source: Service Control Manager
The luafv service failed to start due to the following error:  This driver has been blocked from loading

is probably because you have UAC disabled.

This one:

Log: 'System' Date/Time: 02/03/2017 2:54:47 PM
Type: Warning Category: 212
Event: 219 Source: Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-PnP
The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device ACPI\PNP0A0A\2&daba3ff&0.

is easy to fix.  Search for

services.msc
hit Enter
This will bring up the services window.  Scroll down to
Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework
and right click and select Properties.  Change the Startup Type: from Manual to Automatic.

Basically they just want to you create a new user, give it admin rights and then reboot and  log in to the new user.  Then see if you get the same errors.  If you repeat the instructions to clear the alarms before you log off:

Copy the next line:
for /F "tokens=*" %1 in ('wevtutil.exe el') DO wevtutil.exe cl "%1"
Open an elevated command prompt:

right click and Paste (or Edit then Paste) and the copied line should appear.  Hit Enter.  There will be a few errors but ignore them.

then after you reboot and login as the new user you can run VEW again as before and easily see if it fixed anything.

If and only if it fixes the problem do you need to try and follow through with the rest of the fix.

To turn on UAC
