We have Panda on three computers and was surprised today when I wanted to download and install it on a friends. No such thing as free, just a trial version. Does this mean our "free" versions on our computers are invalid or not really performing?

I'm not sure where you have looked, but there is certainly still a completely free version of Panda. It can be downloaded here http://www.pandasecu...free-antivirus/(downloaded file name is PANDAFREEAV.exe .)
While the trial of the paid version is downloaded from here http://www.pandasecurity.com/usa/and the file name is PANDAGP.exe

Hi,
You might have ran the trial version. These days most people are not aware of the fact that most of the antivirus software comes with a 30 day trial in which you can use it's functionality.
After that, the functionality might be limited. So you should use a paid version software to get back the functionality.
