I am in love with a girl whose brother is a computer engineer,can he somehow track and record our calls by just having my phone number?If yes how can I know it and stop it?My girlfriend uses a symbian phone and I an android phone.Please help.We are tensed.

it would take something like the Stingray to listen in.  See https://www.pri.org/...re-not-doing-it

 so I doubt there is anything to worry about.  It might be possible for him to track her phone's location so she might want to turn it off when you meet.  She should change the password on the phone so that he can't get on and check her history.  Might not hurt to turn off the phone's wifi when she's at home.  Some phones will use the wifi connection if the cell reception is weak so I suppose it could be monitored but I think it's probably encrypted so probably not a real danger.  

 

A more realistic threat would be a logger:

Note that most if not all of these use the wifi to send the data to another phone or PC.  Also the person who installs it has to gain physical access to the phone and know the password.  If she thinks the phone has been compromised I suppose she could reset it to how it came from the factory (after exporting contacts and pictures).  See: http://acisni.com/ho...ect-your-phone/
