Hello,

I just recently reformatted and reinstalled Windows on my laptop (a Toshiba Satellite) but now my wireless card can't renew an IP address. It says it's connected, but the "connection is limited." I can manually put in my IP information, and it will say it's connected, but then the DHCP doesn't work. Our network is encrypted, and all our other computers can connect fine. Any help or ideas?

Specifics:

Wireless Linksys PCMCIA card and router
Windows XP

Thanks,

Brad

Sounds like my problem, 'cept mine is wired. See yesterdays post if you like. There are some cmd routines listed that didn't help me, but they might help you.

Isn't there some one at MSoft that knows how these things are supposed to run?

Maybe first step would be to disable the encryption on rest of the network to see if that solves the problem.
