Hi All, Running the latest version of Win 10 on an HP laptop. A few days ago I applied the latest Win 10 monthly patches. Now my Android hotspot wifi network is no longer appearing in my Win 10 Network list. (Android Nexus 5x running latest version of Android).

I rebooted my Android and my laptop but still not working.

Anyone else have this problem? I did some google searching and searched this forum and didn't find anything.

My friend has an iphone and their wifi hotspot network shows up fine on my Win 10 network list.

Thanks,

Hi freebooter, Thanks for your reply. Someone else on another forum suggested changing the wifi freq band on my Android. I changed the freq from 5ghz to 2.4 and now it's working and the Android 5x hotspot is now appearing on my Win 10 laptop and I can use it to surf. So the problem was on my Android Nexus 5x and not Windows. I think the recent Android system update caused the problem.

Cheers,
